Building secure data tools for health and development programmes

Work

I built and supported systems for data collection and analysis in health and development projects. The role combined software and system design with privacy, security, and partner coordination, supporting social and behaviour change communication initiatives with usable information.

Execution

1. Build tools around programme needs

   Developed bespoke data-collection and analysis tools for projects involving organisations such as THPS, FHI360, T-Marc, TCDC, UMATI, AMREF, and Jhpiego.

2. Protect the data

   Developed security policies and privacy-conscious data practices, including encryption, access controls, and regular security audits.

3. Make information useful

   Designed systems and analysed collected data to support programme reporting, insight, and evidence-based decisions, refining the tools with project partners.

Results
